Issue:

The Print Audit 4 popup is slow to come up when plotting documents from AutoCAD 2005.

Cause:

AutoCAD 2005 is by default configured to perform background plotting.  This causes the Print Audit 4 popup window to be delayed.  Disabling background plotting in AutoCAD 2005 greatly decreases the time before the Print Audit 4 popup window is displayed.

Solution:

To disable background plotting, follow these steps:

1.  In AutoCAD 2005, select Options... from the Tools menu.
2.  Go to the Plot and Publish tab.
3.  Under Background Processing Options - Enable background plotting when, uncheck Plotting.
4.  Press Apply and close the Options window.

Note: This option can also be affected by the BACKGROUNDPLOT system variable, please contact your AutoCAD administrator to verify this is not the case.
