error in pasilent.bat with clientonly install

Hello Gents

There seems to be an error if you want to deploy with pasilent.bat and clientonly mode.

The line:
IF "%CLIENTONLY%" == "YES" msiexec /i /qn %PAINSTPATH%\clientonly\pa6install.msi
popup the msiexe qui.

If I change to:
IF "%CLIENTONLY%" == "YES" msiexec /i %PAINSTPATH%\clientonly\pa6install.msi /qn
It works OK

RAK Key - JSOX Compliance

I have several customers asking for a white paper on the RAK and JSOX Compliance. Please advise. The security white paper did not reference JSOX Compliance.

Is there a document comparing PrintAudit 6 to Equitrac?

How to install the Print Audit 6 Client

To install to an individual workstation:

1. Run the installation file pa6setup.exe.

2. From the Print Audit Installation Menu, select Print Audit 6 Setup.

3. From the Print Audit 6 Setup Type dialog, select Client Only Install and click Next.

4. There will be a warning dialog reminding the user that to install components other than the Client, the Step by Step installation must be run. Using the Client Only installation will uninstall any additional components that may have been previously installed.

5. The Database Communicator Settings screen will appear. Enter the computer name or the IP address of the machine that is running the Database Communicator in the Location field. The Port field refers to the port that the Print Audit Client uses to communicate with the Database Communicator. Normally the default of 17520 is OK but the port must be the same as the one configured on the Database Communicator. This port must not be blocked by a firewall or router. Click Next.

6. Click Install to complete the installation process.

7. After the installation is complete, the user will be prompted to restart their PC. The PC must be restarted for the Print Audit Client to start normally.

To install to multiple workstations:

1. Run the installation file pa6setup.exe.

2. From the Print Audit Installation Menu, select Print Audit 6 Setup.

3. From the Print Audit 6 Setup Type dialog, select Create a Network Install and click Next.

4. The Network installation will create the necessary files to deploy the Print Audit Client using various deployment options. How to add a logo to appear in your Job Manager reports

Go into the Print Audit 6 Job Manager

Start -> All Programs -> Print Audit 6 -> Reporting -> Job Manager

Go to Tools -> Set Report Logo
In the Select Report Logo dialog, browse to the location of the Logo bmp/jpg file that you wish to use and select the file.
Click Open.

Note: The image cannot be any taller than 80 pixels or any wider than 670 pixels.

How to create a report based on the Printer Accounts set up in the Administrator

Go into the Print Audit Administrator.
Go into the Printers tab.
Highlight the printers you want in a group, press CTRL T.
Assign a account name to this group.
Repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have all your printers in a group.
Go into the Print Audit Job Manager.
Select your date range, click Find Jobs.
Click Reports -> Create Report.
Select the report type you would like to create, click Next.
In your options select Printer Account, finish selecting what other information you would like to see in the report.
At the end click Save and Build, give your report template a name and click Save.

Printer Grouping

We are currently using PA 5 and in the printer window we used to assign printers to groups while editing. We have 5 buildings on our campus and assigned printers to groups based on building/floor. In the job manager we used to match on reporting groups to run reports etc.

We are in a trial for PA 6 and the grouping option in the printer editing window seems to have been removed (replaced by accounting). I tried creating printer groups using the button under the advanced tab but have had no success in matching on reporting group in job manager.

Is there a way to assing printers to groups in PA 6?

Prints not being deducted.

I have all the settings in Print Audit 6 set up correctly, but prints are not being deducted from our public computers where PIN numbers are set up to deduct money. If you check accounts, the Last Modified date was when we entered in balances.

Print delays

We have multiple sites in the UK and have recently installed Print Audit 6.0. Setup with a central database and a communicator on each site and the client installed onto XP. Our problem now is that when our users print they are noticing a delay which can be anything from 2-3 secs upto 20- 30 secs can anyone help

PCS 6 - Client Communicator Sevice Turns Itself off Once per week

Trying to figure out why the client communicator service turns itself off about once per week. I start the service and it is fine. No errors are logged.
Windows 2003 server running in virtual environment, nothing else on server.

Print delays for mobile users

I have an install with a bunch of laptop users who only connect up to the network once in a while. I'm getting some info coming through from the users but I'm also getting complaints that printing is taking 40 secs or more longer on the laptops that are running the PA5 client than the laptops that aren't. Some bright spark calculated he was waiting an extra half an hour each day for his print jobs to be completed. Is there any reason there may be a delay in printing when running the PA5 client on laptops that aren't connected to the network?

installing print audit to workstations (error)

Hi, All,
We currently have print audit 5 for our office. The issue I have is when I try to install it on a couple of computers the message appears as (copy failure) or (go to control panel to configure windows componets. ) I sure could use anyones advice on this problem.

Scan readings

I have currently setup a trial version of facilities manager. All okay apart from when I log in and click on the counts tab the scan count box is blank. All other readings are okay. If I download a meter report there is no information in the scan count boxes. I am monitoring a number of Ricoh mfd's and one HP mfd. Is there something I could have missed on setup?
Appreciate any help you can give me. As this is a trial I would like everything to be working so I can show other departments in my company.

Unable to run Administration utility on another PC

Hello,
I'm trying to load the Administration utility on a workstation other than the server. I made sure the user is a Print Audit Adminstrator prior to installing the software on their workstation. I completed the installation. I launched the admin utility and put in the information to connect to the database. I now get the following error.

Unable to get information about user XXXXX from YYYYYY

xxxxx= the user name
yyyyy= the workstation name

I have tried on two different users/workstations. What is the issue?
